Hot commissioning of #2 hot treatment line for Valin-Xigang Φ258mm seamless steel tube hot rolling project was succeeded on Jan. 16th, 2012, which is supplied by CISDI on EPC basis.
Quenching device developed by CISDI in-house was successfully hot commissioned in #2 hot treatment line on Dec. 21st, 2011, which can cater to steel tubes with O.D. of Ф114mm~Ф298.5mm, wall thickness of 4mm~45mm and length of 6m~14.63m.
The project consists of hot rolling line, pre-finishing line, finishing line, QA line, threading line, special tube finishing line and heat treatment line, which were started up in January, July, 2011 and January 2012 respectively.
Intended for product mix optimization, equipment upgrading and product quality promotion in Valin-Xigang, the project is equipped with the world leading PQF mill and two heat treatment lines, four threading lines and special pipe finishing line, two non-destructive inspection lines. Main products are high-end casing with premium thread (P110 and Q125), and high pressure boiler pipes (T91, P91 stainless steel).
The line is implemented with world leading cone type roller piercing, 6-stand & 3-roll retained-mandrel PQF and 3-stand extractor, 14-stand sizing mill. Various detectors and non-destructive inspecting equipment are installed to ensure tube quality compliance with requirements. High-level automation control system is implemented as well.
More than 90% of the mechanical equipment is designed and supplied by CISDI, implemented with CISDI proprietary piercer plug bar circulation, extractor, sizing mill, automation software development & integration. The lateral plug bar circulation device for large-size piercer is developed by CISDI with intellectual property, which is the first successful application in the world, which can effectively reduce piercing interval time, extend plug bar service life and improve the productivity.
