September 29, 2011 witnessed the successful acceptance of process control application software development platform, a priority R&D project of CISDI. As the outcome of this project, Mid-ware platform software package with CISDI-owned intellectual property has found wide application in 10+ reference plants, winning high recognition.

Mid-Ware technology has seen a fast-growing application in process control system in metallurgical industry in recent years. To ensure good performance of R&D outcome, CISDI has inked a collaborative agreement with Xinjiang Bayi Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. to allow the Mid-Ware platform software package to be tested in its 1,750mm HSM.  

During the production verification test in Xinjiang Bayi Steel, the Mid-Ware platform developed by CISDI in-house has successfully replaced the imported one in L2 system of 1,750mm HSM after several months’on-site commissioning, and has functioned with even better reliability and stability.    

CISDI proprietary Mid-Ware Platform, with its proved reliability in reference plant, has gained Yanshan Steel’s acceptance during CISDI’s bidding for its 1,780mm HSM.

Currently CISDI is working on Mid-Ware Platform upgrading and UNIX-based operation system development, and is trying to promote Mid-Ware Platform to L2 of Ironmaking, steelmaking and rolling mill applications with single software architecture and development pattern, bringing more value to the customers with better transplantability, accessibility and quality.
