CISDI_SQDS R2011, the slab quality diagnosis & prediction system developed by CISDI in-house was successfully put into use in slab caster #1 in Xinjiang Bayi Steel at the end of June, 2011, contributing to much higher slab quality management and automation level.

The slab quality diagnosis & prediction system is intended to reflect the strand quality of each cut-to-length slab based on site operational data (including process and equipment data), heat transfer - stress/strain theoretical analysis and quality diagnosis algorithm as well as real-time tracking of irregular event. It is leading compared with those strand quality evaluation systems simply based on irregularity analysis.

In addition to quality analysis function, the model software can also provide powerful report function and auto report generation function. It can generate appropriate quality report, production report and quality report automatically in specified format as required, which are important basis of operation management inquiry and failure analysis,
