On April 23^rd, gas starts to enter into the 120,000m³ converter gas holder of Meishan Steel contracted by CISDI on EPC basis. Along with the rising of gasometer, each indicator gradually attains the normal figure, then the old gas holder cuts off all the external connection and the new 120,000m³ converter gas holder steps into normal operation. This marks the initial operation of 120,000m³converter gas holder of Meishan Steel which undertaken by CISDI on EPC basis.
 

This gas holder is of rubber film sealing design with inner wall diameter of 61.8m and height of 60m. As the old 80,000m³ converter gas holder of Meishan Steel is under urgent call for overhaul, the gas holder body, pipe pressure test, lift and drop test of gas holder and all the commissioning of this project are proposed to be completed by the end of this March. The installation precision and actual leakage of the gas holder turn out to be more satisfactory than the engineering requirements and the quality and safety performance of this project win great appreciations from Meishan Steel.
 

To ensure a smooth shift between the old and new gas holder, CISDI carried out continuous testings for both old and new control systems, and the two control rooms were both capable to operate and monitor the two gas holder; Meanwhile, CISDI also completed the ground leveling, greening and blocking of production area. After the gas holder putting into operation, CISDI engages itself in the construction of gas mixing & pressing station.

The 120,000m³ converter gas holder is the first project putting into production of Phase II engineering of Meishan Steel; it also lays a milestone for CISDI’s gas holder references.
