The 2nd new gas holder (EPC) built in Shuicheng Steel
On March, 25th, 2011, the new BFG holder in Shougang Shuicheng Steel was successfully put into operation. Currently, various operation data are normal and consistent with contract and design requirements, signifying successful startup of the 2nd new BFG holder undertaken by CISDI on EPC basis in Shuicheng Steel.
CISDI signed the new BFG holder EPC contract with Shougang Shuicheng Steel on March, 1st, 2010. The gas holder foundation was finished on July, 20th, 2010 and floated up the first time on November, 11th, 2010. The piston traveled to the top and bottom of the gas holder on February, 13th, 2011. On March, 15th, 2011, the gas holder airtight test and quick ascending and descending test was conducted and the gas holder was ready to be put into operation. On March, 25th, 2011, the gas holder was successfully put into operation. Till then, all projects within the gas holder EPC contract have been finished, more than one month ahead of the contractual general schedule.
The gas holder capacity is 165,000m3, operation pressure 10KPa, inner wall diameter 51.2m and holder body total height about 106.5m.
It is piston type oil rubber sealing cylindrical (POC) new dry gas holder with CISDI intellectual property right. It features high gas storage pressure, good sealing performance, long sealing device life, stable piston operation, fast piston lifting, and low operation and management fees. The gas holder basically consists of steel flat bottom, thin plate cylindrical holder body, H section column, steel corridor, holder top and aeration building for holder body reinforcement and steel piston for sealing.
