March, 25^th, 2011 experienced successful casting of 360mmx1870mm slab by Xinyu Steel super heavy plate caster designed by CISDI with steel grade Q235B, billet width 1870mm and good quality, winning acclaim from the owner.

CISDI signed the engineering contract of 420mm super heavy plate caster with Xinyu Steel on Oct. 30^th, 2009. As the project is technically difficult in that the caster is the world’s first 420mm vertical curved super heavy plate caster, CISDI has, in an effort to complete the design successfully, set up a R&D team and carried out over ten scientific research projects in technology, mechanic, automation and fluid specialties, thus offering solid technical support.

The caster produced 320mm slab successfully on March, 10^th with slabshape and quality reaching expected indexes and stable casting operation, signifying smooth startup of 420mm super heavy plate caster developed by CISDI.
