October 20, 2010 witnessed the official startup of CCM #3 in Pugang (Baosteel Group).Slab caster #2 was built in Step 1 of Pugang Steel (Luojing Plant), and slab caster #3 was implemented in Step 2 to support three 150t converters. The total capacity will reach 3.05Mt/a qualified slabs when CCM#3 is completed.

CISDI was contracted to provide plant design and equipment design for the project (except for the caster). The accurate plant design based on 3D technique contributes to much lower steel consumption for the plant building and hence much lower capital cost. The client is quite satisfactory with the project investment, design progress and quality.
