Aarti Steels Ltd. of India has placed an order with CISDI for supply of a special steel bar mill and a walking beam type reheating furnace. This order marks an important breakthrough made by CISDI in carrying out the Belt and Road Initiative.
The project is designed to produce 200,000tpa special steel bars, including rounds, squares, spring flats, hexagon bars, provided with possibility of producing wire rods and large coils. The production line for special steel bars will be equipped with a couple of core technologies and equipment developed by CISDI independently such as BDCD breakdown mill, NHCD short-stress-path mill, flying shear specially designed to cut off special steel bars with large section area, multi-functional cooling bed, high-temperature fast collecting system, state-of-the-art and well-proven automation control systems like micro tension control, looper control, optimized cutting systems, ghost rolling, etc. and package units such as profile meter, cold shear, abrasive wheel saw.
For the bar mill CISDI will engineer and supply one heavy-oil-fired 40tph walking beam type reheating furnace. A lot of core technologies CISDI developed for special steels like alloy steel and gear steel, including energy-efficient furnace construction, eco-friendly combustion and advanced automation control systems will be applied to the reheating furnace to allow Aarti Steels Ltd. to achieve the desired high efficiency, energy saving and environmental production.
