On September 8th, 2017, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Co. signed an EPC contract with CISDI for supplying a 120tph billet reheating furnace for its integrated steel project (Phase I).
Hoa Phat Group, as the leading steel producer in Vietnam, is one of the most promising and competitive private Vietnamese companies. The green-field integrated steel project of Hoa Phat Dung Quat, which requires a total investment up to 60 trillion VND (2.65 billion USD), occupies a land parcel of 372.7 hectares, is planned with an annual output of 4 million tons of finished products.
The 120tph billet reheating furnace is designed to be LPG-fired in the early stage, BFG-fired in the later stage. Based on the available fuel conditions, CISDI prepared the combustion system solution best fit for the reheating furnace, by which either high-calorific-value LPG or low-calorific-value BFG could be used as fuel in the reheating furnace, avoiding any revamp required for switch-over of fuels, thus resulting in considerable cost and time savings. CISDI proprietary dual-fuel regenerative burners, evaporative cooling system, combustion control system, etc., will be equipped in the reheating furnace, offering improved reheating performance, energy-saving, low loss of ignition, low emissions, etc., with the principal technical data being up to the world leading level.
