May 29th, 2017 marks the successful start-up of #1 Blast Furnace of Formosa Ha Tinh Steel (FHS) contracted by CISDI on EPC basis.
FHS, Vietnam is the only steel producer with capacity up to 10 million tons per year constructed green-field out of China for recent nearly twenty years, also the largest integrated iron & steel complex in Southeast Asia. As the overall planning, consulting services provider, CISDI has been the engineering contractor for the stockyards, EPC contractor for blast furnaces, reheating furnaces and gas holders, the very engineering company undertaking the largest number of packages, with the highest total contract value.
#1 and #2 Blast Furnaces delivered by CISDI to FHS under an EPC contract witness the export of China’s homegrown core technologies and plants of super-large blast furnaces as a whole. Designed with a campaign life of 20 years, capable of producing 3.197 million tons of hot metal annually, each of the blast furnaces has been equipped with critical technology packages for the high-efficiency low-consumption super-large blast furnaces belonging to CISDI’s intellectual property rights, core equipment like fully homemade no-bell top distributors, slag granulation drums, annular gap cleaning systems developed by CISDI independently. Their major technical data are among the top level of the blast furnaces of the similar capacity. The successful start-up of #1 blast furnace demonstrates CISDI’s leading technological competence and international project management capability as the front runner in China’s national team of metallurgical construction.
