CISDI-developed Environment-friendly Stockyard
The No.1 stockyard in HBIS Handan Steel has been busy with production accompanied by machinery thrump. Since the environment-friendly stockyard was started up, the local surroundings have been reduced by at least 80% flying dusts, about 85% material loss and 90% more stockpile surface water sprinkling, whereas, the storage capacity has been doubled and land use saved by 1/3. Additionally, it has been contributing to considerable profits for the steelworks.
The Handan Steel stockyard was independently designed by CISDI, fully enclosed, in a span of 143m, storage volume expanded by 1 time at the original space up to 1Mt/a. It’s an epitome of its kind designed by CISDI, characteristic of less material l loss, suppressing flying dusts, and improving working conditions.
To address the stockyard’s pollution by flying dusts and problem of material loss, CISDI had concentrated on R&D of environmental-protection bulk material storage technology through years, keeping abreast with the market trend and laying equal emphases on environment and profit. It’s another important fruit in CISDI’s clean production target, seemingly an overcoat of hiding coal, ore and mix.
In 2013, CISDI developed the 2nd-generation environment-friendly stockyard, excellent in more compact space, higher space utilization factor and higher performance to investment ratio. CISDI also took the domestic lead in research and implementation of large-sized stockyard’s logistics simulation technology, greatly useful in analyzing site faults and troubleshooting. For instance, a certain stockyard targeting 10Mt/a production capacity was directly saved investment by RMB120 millions thanks to using the logistic simulation technology. By the way, CISDI relied on her qualified R&D teams to develop the stock materials clean transfer, belt conveyor’s head telescoping device, environment-friendly unloading car and other core equipment. All those efforts are to liberate burdens on bulk materials crushing and labors, and relieve energy consumption and material loss.
As of today, CISDI’s new-generation stockyard technology and equipment have been widely used for China’s Baosteel Zhanjiang, Baosteel Shanghai, Meishan Steel, Pangang, Handan Steel, Baotou Steel, Hanzhong Steel, and FHS plant in Vietnam, JSW in India.
