The ON/OS enclosed ore yards for Baosteel Phase III project were built for operation in January 2015, marking a promising beginning of Baosteel environment-friendly program and bulk material yard (BMY)’s ten-year renovation plan. CISDI’s enclosed BMY technology has been applied for such Baosteel 1st stockyard with a span of 112m, length of 360m and total height of about 47m. It’s effective to substantially improve the local environment and save energy and cost, reducing flying dusts by about 80% compared with the open yard, and preventing ores from loss due to wind and storm by about 50%.
CISDI takes the engineering responsibility for the environment-friendly BMY program and renders an overall plan for another 11 enclosed yards and 30 silos in the upcoming 5 years, as well as additional fully-enclosed belt conveyor and landscape at site. It’s expected to build Baosteel with world’s advanced well-being BMY as a garden-like showcase to the society.
