120t Hot Metal Pretreatment Device Using KR Process
The hot metal desulphurization system #1 using KR process successfully passed the hot test run in Lianfeng (Zhangjiagang) Steel on June 16, 2013. The project consists of two 120t hot metal desulphurization units using KR process, which can handle 2.98mt hot metal annually. So far KR unit #1 & 2 for steelmaking plant #3 of Lianfeng Steel have all be put into operation.
As CISDI’s first EP-supplied KR project, it is implemented with leading technology and equipment such as agitator head lifting device, hot metal level measuring device and retractable charging chute.
Following functions are added to address the safety requirements of the owner:
1 The status of emergency motor clutch for agitator head is included into interlock conditions to prevent incomplete disconnection of emergency lifting pneumatic motor from clutch.
2 Emergency lifting button is installed to ensure equipment operation even if the interlock conditions are not satisfied in emergency case.
3 The switch status and operation record are incorporated into the trend chart to allow trouble cause analysis.
4 The interlock conditions of some equipment are adjusted.
