The contract was signed on March 8, 2011, specifically including the services in tandem mill’s design, manufacture, procurement, delivery, installation, no-load test, load test and functional test of the process, mechanical, EIC, hydraulic and emulsion systems.

 

It was designed for 1Mtpy plain carbon structural steel, quality carbon structural steel, low-alloy structural steel, and non-oriented medium- and low-grade electrical steel. The stocks were fed with hot-rolled and pickled coils with strip thickness of 2.0mm~5.0mm and width of 720mm~1,250mm. The final coils were produced with ID Ф610mm, OD Ф1,110mm ~Ф2,100mm and maximal coil weight of 28t.
