Line A of the dual-line wire mill supplied by CISDI on EPC basis for Hanzhong Steel Co., Ltd. was put into operation on August 6^th, 2012, and Line B on September 5, 2012. This project is intended to produce Φ5.5mm~Φ16mm plain coils and Φ6.0mm~Φ12mm deformed steel coils, with annual capacity of 1mt/a, main grades of straight carbon steel, low alloy steel, quality carbon steel, welding electrode steel and cold heading steel.

The dual-line wire mill is arranged on elevated platform.6-stand short-stress roughing mill with alternative horizontal and vertical stand, and 8-stand fully-horizontal short-stress intermediate rolling mill are installed. The wires are rolled in Line A and B respectively after leaving intermediate mill. 4-stand cantilever mill with alternative horizontal and vertical stands is installed for each line, and the finishing block is a 10-stand mill with all passes coming in V arrangement. The mill consists of totally 42 stands, with guaranteed max. rolling speed of 90m/s.

Except for the wire tying & strapping machine, all other equipment for the dual-line wire mill are designed and manufactured in China. The equipment before/behind reheating furnace, roughing mill, intermediate rolling mill, splitting roller table and air cooling line are designed and manufactured by CISDI. The short-stress mills for the full line are the latest generation developed by CISDI, featuring high stiffness, easy operation and long service life.
