Hot Commissioning of Yangshan Steel BOF#2 Succeeds

Successful Hot Commissioning of Yangshan Steel BOF#2

2# BOF (150t) of Yangshan Steel, Hebei Steel Corporation, which was contracted to CISDI on EPC basis, passed hot commissioning on July 1, 2012. The first heat was tapped at 16:49, followed by another three consecutive heats. All data were normal and the system functioned well. Executives of Yanshan Steel witnessed the hot commissioning on site and expressed satisfaction to CISDI’s engineering, product and on-site service.

The project is part of the Phase II BOF project in the greenfield area of Yanshan steel. Phase II BOF projects consist of two 150t converters, one de-sulphurization device, one RH unit and one 1,800 mm slab caster.

The following technologies have been applied to improve operation of the converter.

1 CISDI proprietary four-point bottom-suspension technology to improve stability and safety of operation.

2 CISDI proprietary CISDI-SACS series technologies, featuring light equipment weight, good performance and easy maintenance.
