1780m3 BF of Shanxi Zhongyang Iron & Steel Co.
CISDI engineers from the relevant departments have almost finished engineering design of an upgrading/revamping blast furnace project (1780m3) for Zhongyang, a steel company in Shanxi Province, China. As of June 6, 2012, 6136.125 construction drawings (A 1) have been released and all the equipment orders have been placed. Site construction has entered a critical period with a steady progress: all civil works have come to an end and it is ready for equipment erection; refractory laying work for BF proper and hot blast stove is also in process.
As a revamping project with facilities to be reused, CISDI project team was confronted with limited space, numerous revamping items and engineering difficulties. Thanks to close internal corporation and active communication with the client, the team made elaborate planning and solved the problems, which brings them approval and compliments from the client.
Many CISDI patents or proprietary technologies have been applied in this project, such as top-combustion hot stove, BF proper cooling by soft water, CISDI environment-friendly rotary drum slag-treatment process, dense-phase fluidized pneumatic dust conveying technologies, etc., which has improved overall engineering performance of the blast furnace.
It is scheduled to heat up the hot stoves at end of July and the blast furnace in mid-September. The operation will start on Sep. 26, 2012.
