March 23, 2012 witnessed the successful hot on-load commissioning of 1,780mm HSM in Meishan Steel, which was engineered by CISDI with overall technical responsibility. Meanwhile reheating furnace #3 (EP supply by Chongqing CISDI Industrial Furnace Co. Ltd.), high-pressure water descaling system, hydraulic servo valve stand for rough mill and coiler (EP supply by CISDI Shanghai) were also successfully started up.

The 1,780mm HSM of Meishan Steel was put into commercial operation on April 2, 2012, with designed capacity of 4.018mt/a hot rolled coils and 4.012mt/a finished coils, including high-strength dual-phase steel, high-strength cold-formed steel, ultra-low carbon steel and special steel.
