The 130t converter designed by CISDI for Shaoguan Steel was successfully hot commissioned on March 9, 2012. Five heats were produced continuously, with liquid steel analysis and temperature up to the standard, and the primary & secondary dedusting performance are very satisfactory. New OG system and bottom-blowing system supplied by CISDI are functioning properly.

This project is implemented with CISDI proprietary bottom-suspension system, converter sub-lance device, new OG system for primary dedusting and converter integrated bottom-blowing system, single-ladle hot metal transfer solution and hot slag cracking process. 

The startup of converter #5 marks the success of Shaoguan Steel’s transformation to clean production with higher energy-efficiency & lower energy-consumption.
