CISDI was awarded an order by Baotou Steel to supply engineering for two 4,150m³ BFs on August 9^th, 2011.

According to Baotou Steel’ Development Plan for Year 2011 to 2015, Baotou Steel will reach 16.00Mt/a capacity and annual turnover of over RMB 100 billion when the greenfield plant is completed at the end of 2013. The two blast furnaces contracted by CISDI would be the 14^th and 15^th BF of over 4,000m³ ever supplied by CISDI.

CISDI proprietary technologies shall be implemented in the BFs, including novel parallel-hopper top de alto-forno, cooling plates and staves for furnace proper, portable tilting runner and cover manipulator.
