November 17, 2010 witnessed the inking of EPC contract for rectangular billet (beam blank) caster by and between CISDI and Tangshan Plate Co., Ltd.

To further widen the product mix, Tangshan Plate Co., Ltd. intends to build H-beam and broad strip rolling line in 2010 following the completion of 200x200mm billet caster in August 2009. The rectangular billet (beam blank) caster under this contract will feed stocks to the rolling line under planning.

This order is a recognition of CISDI’s efforts in developing key beam-blank casting technology in recent years. As the first rectangular billet (beam blank) caster in China to be built by local engineering company without foreign assistance, it will further enhance CISDI’s position in continuous casting.
