From June 26^th to 28^th, 2017, CISDI attended the AMM & WSD Steel Survival Strategies XXXII in New York, USA. The conference, the largest event for the North American steel industry for over 30 years was organized by American Metal Market (AMM) in partnership with World Steel Dynamics.

Attendees include high-ranking officers of the important US steel companies and world-known metallurgical plant & technology suppliers. Being the Gold Sponsor, CISDI had a stand and Mr. Robert D. Smith, President of CISDI US delivered a lecture on Intelligent Plant, demonstrating the main R&D achievements in technologies of intelligent stockyard, Big Data, Visualization and their applications. Besides, Robert D. Smith on behalf of CISDI also discussed with the participant experts on how the efficiency of a steelworks can be maximized with development of new technologies and how the objectives of an Intelligent Plant can be achieved.

As the only Chinese metallurgical engineering company present in the conference, CISDI showed a professional demeanor while staying abreast of other internationally renowned companies like SMS, Primetals, Danieli, Midrex, Tenova.

In addition to Mr. Robert Smith, President of CISDI US, Mr. John Lester, Vice President of CISDI, President of CISDI UK, Mr. Hu Zhichun, Vice President of CISDI and other persons in charge of CISDI overseas business and CISDI Brazil also took part in the event.
