CISDI and JSW DOLVI inked the basic design contract for 10 million ton/a closed stockyard revamping project on June 10, 2014, and held a three-day kick-off meeting in India.
It is intended to store 10 million tons of raw materials in the limited terminal space and the possibility of storing 15 million ton raw materials in future is envisaged. The logistics optimization is challenging in this project as the route from the terminal to the existing plant area is approximately 3km long. CISDI will implement its proprietary 2nd-generation environmentally-friendly stockyard technology for the ore yard and has given many advices on the project optimization.
