The NISCO 4,700mm heavy wide plate mill was hot tested for rolling the 1^st plate on September 26, 2013. CISDI conducted the plant design and nonstandard equipment design. CISDI Industrial Furnace Co., Ltd. was contracted with two slab reheating furnaces on EPC mode. The plate mill was initially put into operation the warm straightening process in the world, and applied the dual walking-beam reheating furnaces, new-type walking-beam reheating furnace, new-model roller table cooling, fine descaling upstream modern pre-straightener and CISDI’s other patented technologies. CISDI got the bid in September 2011, and won customer’s high appraisal for its efforts in elaborate design, economized quantities and site supervision service.

Customer’s Comments: CISDI builds an eco-friendly, economical and energy-efficient HPM like Artwork.

Mr. Huang Yixin, NISCO managing director, addressed the comments on CISDI’s performance at the startup ceremony of NISCO heavy wide plate mill on September 26, 2013, “CISDI, taking the engineering leadership, has built a green, economical and energy-efficient heavy plate mill like creating an artwork”.

This mill was designed as 4-hi reversible single-stand rolling line for the annual output of 1.60Mt. The rolling mill was specified in 5,000mm, and the widest product in 4,700mm, and thickest product 250mm. The design work was launched preparations in March 2011; and the project was completed in more than 2 years. CISDI undertook the overall design, technological integration and tailored import of key equipment.
