The International Congress on the Science and Technology of Ironmaking (ICSTI) was hosted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from October 14^th to 18^th, 2012. As a big event of international Ironmaking business, the congress is held every three or four years in different continents of the world. ICSTI’ 2012 was attended by over 500 participants from all over the world, with nearly 300 papers on ironmaking raw materials & fuels, BF Ironmaking technology, alternative Ironmaking technologies, etc.
