SPCO (Japan) is the general contractor of VKS electric arc furnace steelmaking plant. The plant is designed with annual capacity of 500,000t/a, to be located in Vung Tau city, Vietnam. It consists of one 90t steelmaking EAF, one 90t ladle furnace and one billet caster. The 90t EAF, 90t LF, dedusting system and necessary auxiliaries are subcontracted to MCC-Xi’an Electric Furnace Co., Ltd. by SPCO. This is so far the largest overseas order and the largest EAF ever supplied by MCC-Xi’an Electric Furnace Co., Ltd. on EP basis for overseas market.
