Chongqing CISDI Industrial Furnace Co., Ltd. was contracted by GUSA NORDESTE on May 29, 2012 to supply reheating furnace equipment on EP basis. The contract was signed by Mr. Chen Shaochun, vice president of CISDI Engineering Co., Ltd., on behalf of CISDI Industrial Furnace and Mr. Ricardo Nascimento, industrial director of GUSA.
One 120t/h walking beam reheating furnace for 600,000t/a bar mill shall be supplied to heat 150mmx150mm billets, which will be a double regenerative reheating furnace.
The reheating furnace is provided with one side-in and side-out, top and bottom roller table, BFG double regenerative heat supply. The skid posts shall be evaporative cooled. The furnace is designed with four zones for automatic temperature control. The furnace uses BFG of 800kCal/Nm3 as fuel, with BFG and air double regenerative combustion technology, which provides a solution to reach the billet rolling temperature which cannot be reached with low-calorific gas with normal heating method, and also features energy efficiency and less NOx emission.
The project is now in basic design phase, after start up it will be the first double regenerative reheating furnace in South America.
GUSA NORDESTE is a steel company that started from sales of pig iron, for which CISDI is supplying one 50t BOF and gas holder on EP basis.
